Crafted using recycled crushed abalone shell sourced from a local Hermanus based commercial abalone farm, each Nacre product is carefully integrated into a refined concrete matrix and meticulously hand polished through a multi-stage process by our team. This reveals the shell’s natural colour, depth, texture, and luminescence, creating a one-of-a-kind finish with remarkable material integrity and architectural appeal.
Each piece is produced using a selected stone base and carefully balanced pigments, resulting in a premium concrete surface that offers both visual richness and long-lasting performance. For those seeking the same refined concrete aesthetic in a more understated finish, this range is also available without nacre shell.

Each finish combines a selected stone base with carefully balanced pigments, resulting in a premium
surface that offers both visual richness and technical durability for architectural and landscape applications. For a more understated finish, the same polished concrete aesthetic is also available without the nacre
shell.

CAPESTONE’s standard colour range is developed
using premium iron oxide pigments fully integrated into the concrete mix, ensuring consistent, through-body colour that maintains its integrity over time.

Texture
CAPESTONE’s Texture finishes are designed to simulate the natural surface variation found in quarried stone, with options such as Flamed Granite, French, and Slate. Each texture is produced using a specialised surface treatment to create distinct tactile and visual character, from a fine flamed grain to a more rugged, riven profile.
